About

Hello

Hi, I'm Courtney

I have been a Registered Nurse for nearly 2 decades, spending most of my time within the ICU and ER.   I worked in leadership as a charge nurse and a hospital supervisor.  Prior to nursing school I gained a B.S. in Biology.  My love and passion for science through the years has allowed me to dive deeper into the biological systems of the human body. This has been the perfect back drop in preparation for expanding my knowledge in Functional Wellness.

I began my journey towards a functional medicine approach over 10 years ago when I became a mom.  My wellness journey continued as I worked to heal my gut issues along with a functional medicine practitioner.  More recently I completed training in Functional Medicine for Nurses and a certification program to become a Holistic Nurse Coach.

I am passionate about healthcare and finding ways to elevate my community towards greater health and vitality.

The Functional Medicine Difference

How can a NURSE use
FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE to
help you in your healthcare journey?

Functional medicine

is all about EMPOWERMENT and EDUCATION, both of which fall within the nursing scope of practice.

Working together I will empower you to see the potential within the amazing body you were given. You will become the Hero of your story.  You will find the potential that lies deep within the body system you inhabit.  The changes that we make together will be SUSTAINABLE.  This is the Functional Medicine Difference.  Functional Medicine believes in the healing potential of the human body.  It relies tremendously upon Food as Medicine.  Food is a simple yet powerful tool to either enhance or deteriorate health.

Working together we will take a deep dive into your current situation.  We will evaluate your eating patterns, sleep schedule, stress management, toxic exposures and more.  Through this discovery model we will identify root causes of your current healthcare concerns and create incremental steps towards your healthcare goals.
